	Promotion of the Ainu language 2. Dissemination of Ainu language Radio courses     In order to disseminate the Ainu language to the general public, this project provides opportunities for many people to have contact with and learn the Ainu language, and facilitates understanding of the Ainu and their traditions and culture, by broadcasting Ainu language courses for beginners on STV (Sapporo Television) radio.     Textbooks are provided free of charge and tapes of the courses can be rented. For details, contact the FRPAC office (Sapporo) or the Ainu Culture Center (Tokyo). 　　 　　The contents of the broadcast are also distributed on the Internet. 　　The URL of STV website is http://www.stv.ne.jp/radio/ainugo/index.html Main broadcast 7:05 to 7:20 a.m. on Sundays Rebroadcast 11:15 to 11:30 p.m. on Saturdays Speech contest     This is a project aimed at enhancing the desire of people to learn by holding an Ainu language speech contest as an opportunity for presenting the fruit of their efforts and disseminating the language by providing the people in the venue with an opportunity to hear the language.     <Scheduled date of the contest in 2008> November 15 (Sat.)
