Fusa Yae has engaged in the transmission activities of the Kushiro Rimse Preservation Society of Harutori Ainu Old-Style Dancing as a singer and instructor of upopo-rimse since the establishment of the Society, of which she is a participant. She supported overseas public performances provided by the Society in the Philippines and the U.S., and appeared in a number of public performances in Japan, substantially contributing to the transmission and enlightenment of Ainu culture.She and her husband, Seijiro Yae, have dedicated themselves to the practice of transmission and preservation of old-style dancing, ceremonies and rituals passed down in the Kushiro area, and they are still positively engaging in such activities, significantly contributing to the promotion of Ainu culture.

1996 Serves as a member of the Executive Committee for the Centennial Celebration for Kenji Miyazawa
1997 Serves as a kamuynomi member of the 30th Anniversary Project for the Foundation of the Kushiro Rimse Preservation Society of Harutori Ainu Old-Style Dancing.

 

* Fusa Yae has participated in a number of public performances of Ainu old-style dancing.
