Yoshihiro Watanabe

He was hired for the post of the supervisor of social education on Shizunai Town's Board of Education in 1974. He has since provided guidance to members of the Shizunai Branch of the Ainu Association of Hokkaido and the Shizunai Ainu Culture Preservation Society, acting as the Director of the Shizunai Ainu Museum, an Ainu livelihood advisor, the Secretary General of the Shizunai Branch of the Ainu Association of Hokkaido and the Secretary General of the Shizunai Ainu Culture Presevation Society. In Particular, he helped make the Shizunai Ainu Culture Preservation Society's activities known nationwide through the participation of the 22nd Hokkaido/Tohoku Block Folk Performing Art Festival and the 32nd National Folk Performing Art Festival, making profound contribution to the promotion and dissemination of Ainu culture.
