Recognition of Ainu cultural activities

Craftwork contests

A contest of traditional Ainu craftwork as well as modern and creative works using traditional Ainu skills is held. Deserving works receive public recognition in order to improve production skills and promote artistic and creative activities. Entries are exhibited to provide opportunities for the general public to appreciate Ainu folkcraft.

Ainu Cultural Award

This is a project aimed at further promoting activities related to the transmission and promotion of Ainu culture and publicly honor the distinguished services of people who have contributed greatly to the improvement and development of Ainu culture for many years, by presenting them with the Ainu Cultural Award and Ainu Cultural Promotion Award.
